Misconceptions of The Passport Bro Part 2

“The passport bro movement is not about looking and lurking for women around the world, it is not about finding a wife, it is about finding yourself or acquiring yourself a new life.“

Research suggests that a message needs to be reiterated around seven times before it truly registers. So, here I am, ready to play my part. It bears repeating the wise words of Andre from the Love Crossing Borders Podcast “The passport bro movement is not about looking and lurking for women around the world, it is not about finding a wife, it is about finding yourself or acquiring yourself a new life.“

Pondering this, the assumption that every foreign woman with a Western partner is a financially struggling English novice solely seeking a passport appears, well, quite racist. That sounds like a whole lotta stereotyping to me. I kid you not; I've met women in so-called 'poor countries' who speak better English than some college-educated folks I've met from the States.

The digital landscape is witnessing a surge in content where women (and some men) criticize those who choose the passport bro lifestyle. In "Misconceptions of Passport Bros Part 1," I dove into the economic benefits and the overall improvement in quality of life achievable by going overseas. Now, in this segment, let's unravel and counter the primary arguments presented by our woke female counterparts.

Old Men Lurking on Young Women

First off, let’s just look at it from that lens. Contrary to popular belief, it’s not just men traversing the globe in search of connections. There are many types of travelers, but for the sake of argument let’s isolate the “old people going to poor countries” group. Within this demographic, you'll discover a noteworthy phenomenon – many women from Western countries exploring developing nations in pursuit of romantic entanglements with younger men. Because as the passport bros attackers like to say “no one wants them back home.”

You’ll find them thriving if you observe places like Kenya, Gambia, Jamaica, and countless others. Here, older white women from North America and Europe engage in what is commonly labeled as sex tourism – a trend not confined to male travelers. Tune into an episode of '90 Day Fiancé,' and you'll quickly discern that this pursuit isn't exclusively a male prerogative; the frequency may skew, but the practice transcends gender lines.

Men preying on poor women

This is actually kind of funny because my European ex made more money than me at a time when I was making 6 figures. I hate to break it to you, but the U.S. is not the only wealthy country on the planet. Numerous countries boast intelligent women who thrive in their careers, not relying on you to foot every bill. Ever heard of this movie called “Crazy Rich Asians?”

One of the first places I went to when I really started traveling was Iceland. After living in the U.S. for so long I was surprised when I girl I met refused to let me buy her a drive. To my surprise, she paid for my drink. Here I am thinking “She’s definitely not interested, that’s some friend zone behavior.” Then all of a sudden she makes a move and starts kissing. I had to question whether or not I was dreaming because it’s not what I was used to in the States. Another time, I was in Finland and took a girl out to dinner at a fancy restaurant. As we are leaving, she rushes in front of me and hands her card to the cashier—a 120 euro bill, which was nearly $150 at the time. When we went out for drinks, I would pay for the drinks right away to prevent her from paying. You have women in developing countries as well such as Thailand and Indonesia who do well for themselves and are not looking to be a sugar baby.

They just want your passport

You won't believe how many times I've heard, “The U.S. is too dangerous; I don’t want to live there.” Turns out, many individuals cherish their homelands more than the allure of a foreign passport. Whether it's the year-round sunshine, free healthcare, low crime rates, or simply the unbeatable local cuisine, these women aren't just dreaming of passports; they're embracing the richness of their own countries.

Moreover, true Passport Bros aren't always looking to return to their home countries either. It's counterintuitive to assume their sole goal is to find a woman to bring back home. These Bros, focused on a holistic lifestyle, realize that the reasons prompting them to leave in the first place don’t magically disappear when they find a woman to settle down with. Passport Bros are not solely fixated on women; they're in pursuit of a multifaceted, fulfilling life that transcends borders.

Conclusion

In conclusion, don’t let a few haters detract you from living your best life. It’s perfectly okay to be attracted to people from different cultures, just like you probably prefer going to the friends' Thanksgiving where you know they'll season their food and serve you more than just plain turkey. Conversely, if you’re getting one match every week on dating apps back home but put your location in another country and see 150+ likes in a day, then there’s nothing wrong with being proud that foreign women also like foreign men. These girls are just mad that they are running out of men to buy them dinner every day of the week in this economy. Live your best life, King.
